heh - what happened to this integral part over the past few years?
with the WC round the corner, perhaps they're going for a rapid inclusion of the older, more experienced guys....
i am okay with the idea of the selectors wanting to go back to the older guys for the WC..but there must then be consistency.. i totally agree with kumble's recall, his staying out was baffling.. but i am sure then laxman deserves a recall too. surely he is a better bet than raina. he played wonderfully well the last time we were there. john wright mentions in his Indian Summer that there are some guys who are always two failures away from being excluded, laxman being one of them.
and yes, the reasoning is howbizzare !! kumble is an integral part, and laxman who is playing in hyderabad is not fit.
